Refreshing Kiwi Lime Lemonade

Hey everybody!

Since we’ve been posting mostly rich, savory recipes, this is the perfect time for a refreshing beverage: Kiwi Lime Lemonade.

Definitely a great alternative to any store-bought juice which is always misleading with their “100% juice” label when really it’s 100% concentrate.

A great source of nutrients, anti-oxidants, kiwis could be the superfood un-noticed by the larger community even though I believe it should soon dethrone Acai as the reigning king of superfoods 😛

Kiwi lime lemonade

Here’s what you need.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Kiwis, medium ripeness or ripe ones
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 2 Green Cardamom Pods
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 Teaspoon Sugar or Raw Honey

Directions:

  1. Get a blender and add in all the ingredients, blend until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  2. Get a strainer and pour the blended mixture over, getting rid of any solids.
  3. Pour into a pitcher, mason jars or your favorite glass.
  4. Serve with a wedge of kiwi if you have one for the extra pizzazz.
  5. Enjoy!
