Crispy & Delicious Cinnamon Sugar Chips

Hey Everybody!

Been having a little sugar cravings lately and when it comes to sweets, cinnamon sugar treats are definitely my favourite! When I had some leftover tortilla and pita bread, I thought why not mix it up and make some “chips” out of it! It’s a great way to turn a few days old pita into something great!

Cinnamon sugar chips

These Cinnamon Sugar chips are definitely an ideal snack to keep around! Super simple to make of course 🙂 and deliciously sweet!

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium sized tortillas or 6 pita breads
  • 1 butter flavoured cooking spray or 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon

Cooking Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Cut the pita bread into halves, then cut into equally sized wedges.
  4. If you’re using tortillas, cut into equally sized wedges as well.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  6. Brush both sides of the tortilla/pita with the melted butter or spray both sides with the butter spray and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over both sides.
  7. Place on the baking tray, evenly spaced apart and bake for 12 – 15 minutes. If you desire a crispier texture, bake 3 – 5 minutes longer but not too long or it’ll be burnt!
  8. Let cool for 3 minutes before serving.
  9. Enjoy!

A great snack to keep in a mason jar or for just when you’re feeling snacky! Sweet and delicious, maybe not so healthy but hey, let’s live a little! 😛

Try it out and let us know!

See you in the Kitchen.
